Robert M. Montague was an Army General who served as head of a secret project at Sandia Base near Albuquerque, New Mexico, beginning in July 1947, coinciding with the period of the Roswell incident. According to researcher Stanton T. Friedman, Montague was identified in connection with alleged UFO-related military operations during the early Cold War era.
