Robert S. Neasham
Robert S. Neasham was a U.S. Navy Lieutenant and photo analyst specializing in unidentified aerial phenomena during the early UFO era. Active in the 1950s, he served at the Naval Photographic Interpretation Laboratory in Anacostia. His primary role involved detailed examination of UFO footage. A key achievement came during the 1953 Robertson Panel, a CIA-convened scientific review of UFOs, where Neasham and colleague Harry Woo presented findings on the Mariana UFO Incident (1950) and 1952 Utah UFO Film. After over 1,000 man-hours of analysis, they concluded the objects were not known aircraft, creatures, or weather phenomena, sparking significant discussion among panelists including H.P. Robertson. No birth/death dates or further publications are documented in available sources. His testimony underscored unexplained aspects of prominent UFO films amid government efforts to assess national security implications.
