Robert Taylor
Robert Taylor (1919β2007) was a Scottish forestry worker. Born in 1919, he worked as a forestry worker until his death in 2007.
On November 9, 1979, Taylor encountered a large, spherical, dark metallic object hovering in a clearing in Dechmont Woods near Livingston, Scotland. Two smaller spiked spheres rolled toward him and attached to his trousers, dragging him toward the craft before he lost consciousness. When he awoke, he found the object gone, his trousers torn, and ground marks at the site.
The incident was investigated by Lothian and Borders Police as an assault. Physical evidence included ground tracks and torn clothing, and the case stands as the only UFO incident in UK history to have been subject to a criminal investigation.
