Ronald Johnson
Ronald Johnson was, in 1971, a 16-year-old Kansas boy who, on 2 November 1971 near Delphos, Kansas, observed on his family farm a mushroom-shaped, glowing object hovering; after its departure, a glowing ring remained on the ground that resisted water and was later analysed by multiple laboratories. Thanks to well-preserved ground evidence and prompt investigation, the Delphos Ring case is considered one of the most important physical-trace UFO cases in history.
- 16-year-old boy from Kansas
- Event on 2 November 1971 on the family farm near Delphos, Kansas
- Sighting of a mushroom-shaped, glowing object hovering
- A glowing ring remained on the ground after the object departed
- Ring resisted absorbing water
- Laboratory analysis of the soil sample by multiple labs
- The Delphos Ring case as one of the most important physical-trace UFO cases; prompt investigation
For the UAP timeline, Johnson is the witness whose sighting produced one of the few serious physical-trace cases β the "Delphos Ring" remains a reference experiment around which laboratory debates on UFO chemistry keep flaring up.
