Rose Messina

Rose Messina is an American civilian witness known for her involvement in a significant UFO sighting on a country road north of Exeter, New Hampshire, in the early 1980s. As the front-seat passenger in a car with three other women, including Mary LaMontagne, she observed a large, oval-shaped object standing perfectly still in the air without noise. The group shouted to stop the car, and Messina briefly exited but could not keep up with the younger witnesses. She described the object's vastness and a ray of light descending like a beam of sunlight through clouds. Messina provided a sketch of the UFO, which closely matched those drawn separately by the other women, confirming the consistency of their accounts. This incident, detailed in the International UFO Reporter (January/February 1983), echoed the famous 1965 Exeter UFO case with similar oval shape and equatorial lights. No birth or death years, publications, or further UAP research roles are documented.
