Uyrange Hollanda
Uyrangê Hollanda was a Brazilian Air Force officer who served as the operational chief of Operação Prato, a 1977 military investigation into UFO sightings and attacks in Colares, Pará, Brazil, known as the 'chupa-chupa' incidents where residents reported blood-sucking lights causing injuries.[2][1] As Captain Uyrangê Bolivar Soares Nogueira de Hollanda Lima, he led teams that photographed unidentified lights and objects, detecting at least nine types including probes and saucer-shaped craft, amid reports of radiation-like effects and deaths.[2][3] He retired in 1992 as a lieutenant colonel.[5][6] In 1997, he gave a detailed interview to ufologists Ademar José Gevaerd and Marco Antônio Petit confirming extraterrestrial origins, but died three months later by apparent suicide, fueling conspiracy theories.[2][3]
