William Hanes Ayres
William Hanes Ayres (1916-2000) was an American Republican politician from Ohio. Born on February 5, 1916, in Eagle Rock, Botetourt County, Virginia, he moved with his parents to West Virginia and later to Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army as a private during World War II, discharged in 1945, and subsequently became president of Ayres Heating & Insulation Co. in Akron, Ohio. Elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, he served from 1923 until his death on September 8, 2000, en route from New York City. No records indicate involvement in UAP/UFO research, military or government UFO programs, or related fields. His name appears in a U.S. Navy UFO research guide personnel list, but without specific UFO-related contributions documented.
