Angelia Gay Joiner (1961–2021) was an American journalist and UFO researcher best known for breaking the story of the January 2008 Stephenville, Texas UFO sightings. A former education reporter for the Stephenville Empire Tribune, Joiner's coverage of multiple UFO sightings over Stephenville gained international attention and prompted the U.S. Air Force to reverse its initial denial, confirming the presence of F-16 aircraft in the area. She was named UFO Digest's 2009 UFO Reporter of the Year and appeared on Larry King Live twice, in addition to documentaries including James Fox's 'I Know What I Saw' and Discovery Channel's 'Investigation X.' Joiner collaborated with MUFON researchers on the Stephenville Radar Report and became a special correspondent for the Jerry Pippin radio show covering unexplained phenomena. Her principled reporting on the incident, despite lacking prior UFO expertise, established one of the most well-documented UAP cases and raised unresolved national security questions.
