William 'Bill' Puckett, an American atmospheric scientist, graduated valedictorian in 1965, earned a B.A. in Biology from Carroll College in 1969, and an M.S. in Atmospheric Science from Colorado State University in 1973. He worked as a meteorologist for the National Weather Service (3 years) and the Environmental Protection Agency (27 years), retiring in 2007. A professional member of the American Meteorological Society, Puckett served as Montana State Director for MUFON until 2019, certified field investigator, and authored technical articles for the MUFON Journal. He presented on radar analysis of the 2008 Stephenville, TX UFO sightings at the International MUFON Symposium. Key achievements include meteorological and radar analysis of the 2006 O'Hare Airport UFO incident and research associate role with NARCAP. He consulted for History Channel's 'UFO Hunters,' appearing in episodes, featured on Science Channel's 'Close Encounters,' and various radio/TV programs. Residing in Helena, Montana since 2011, he runs independent UFO investigation sites UFOS Northwest and UFO Sightings Montana.
