Boris Sokolov

Soviet military colonel who headed the Soviet Ministry of Defense's secret UFO investigation program from 1978 to 1990. The program collected reports from military units across the USSR and operated in parallel with the KGB's own UFO collection effort. After the fall of the Soviet Union, Sokolov revealed details of the program to Western researchers, including the scope of Soviet military UFO encounters.
