Boyd Bushman (1928–2014) was an American senior research engineer at Lockheed Martin with a 40-year career in aeronautics and engineering. He held 28 patents and was recognized as a gifted inventor. In 2014, near the end of his life at age 78, Bushman recorded a deathbed confession claiming he had worked on reverse-engineering alien technology at Area 51 and that aliens had made contact with Earth. He alleged that Area 51 contained two groups of aliens from a planet called Quintumnia and presented photographs he claimed depicted extraterrestrial beings and craft. While his professional credentials lent initial credibility to his claims, subsequent analysis suggested some photographic evidence may have been misidentified objects.
