James Albert Harder, Ph.D. (1926-2006), was a professor emeritus of civil and hydraulic engineering at UC Berkeley and Director of Research for the Aerial Phenomena Research Organization (APRO) from 1969-1982. A prominent ufologist, he investigated key UFO abduction cases, including the 1975 Travis Walton abduction, the 1973 Pascagoula case, and continued the Betty and Barney Hill investigation. He testified on UFOs before the U.S. House Committee on Science and Astronautics in 1968.[1][2][3]
