Marion Eugene Carl

Marion Eugene 'Pappy' Carl (1915-1998) was an American Marine Corps aviator and test pilot, holding the distinction of being the first Marine to win the Medal of Honor. Born in Hubbard, Oregon, he achieved numerous aviation records, including the first jet aircraft landing on an aircraft carrier.
