Melina Tsapos

Melina Tsapos holds a doctorate in theoretical philosophy from Lund University, Sweden, where she specializes in epistemology and the philosophy of mind. Her research concentrates on conspiracy theories, conspiracy belief, and the rationality of conspiracy theory acceptance. She has presented on space conspiracies and conspiracy thinking at international conferences and has published academic work examining the philosophical dimensions of conspiracy theories.

Since 2026, Tsapos has co-led a multidisciplinary UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) research project at a Swedish university alongside Professor Anders Warell. The project, an Advanced Study Groups initiative at the Pufendorf Institute, Lund University, addresses human perception, stigma in UAP research, and rigorous methodologies for studying UAP.

Tsapos is an active member of the SETI community and has contributed to discussions on astrobiology ethics and the search for extraterrestrial technology.
