
Petr Vachler
Petr Vachler is a Czech producer, screenwriter, and director born in 1966 in Strakonice. He studied at Prague's FAMU (Film and Television School of the Academy of Performing Arts) and founded the Vachler Art Company, a film and television production company, in the early 1990s.
Vachler has become prominently associated with UFO and UAP documentation in Central Europe. He served as Self - Director and UFO Witness on the Netflix/Sky History series Top Secret UFO Projects: Declassified (2021). He created the controversial documentary series Detektor (2008), which explored mysticism and esotericism, and produced and directed Top 10 Secrets and Mysteries (2016) as Executive Producer. Additionally, he has documented UAP sightings and contributed to the archival record of the UFO phenomenon in Central Europe, including cases from the Cold War era to the present.
Beyond his UFO work, Vachler has established himself as a multifaceted filmmaker. He made his feature film debut with Doblba! (2005), a dark comedy, and spent ten years developing his deeply personal project The Meaning and Mystery of Life (2022), which features interviews with figures from science, spirituality, and religious teachings. He founded the Czech Lions and the Czech Film and Television Academy (ÄŒFTA), and promotes veganism and deeper dimensions of life through his work.
