Vladimir Kovalyonok

Soviet cosmonaut and Major General (b. 1942) who flew three missions to the Salyut space stations. Reported observing an unidentified object during a 1981 spaceflight aboard Salyut 6, describing it as an elliptical object that exploded into two spheres connected by a bridge.
