Robert L. Wilson served as a US Air Force Second Lieutenant and radar operator aboard an F-89C Scorpion. On November 23, 1953, he disappeared together with pilot Felix Moncla during the Kinross incident, vanishing over Lake Superior while involved in the pursuit and interception of an unidentified object. Serving as the radar observer aboard the aircraft, his role was crucial during the mission. Neither the crew nor the aircraft were ever recovered, and no trace of them was ever found. The event remains a central, unexplained case in the UAP/UFO field and constitutes part of the famous Kinross incident.
