On September 14, 1963, the Danish ship Kristine Maersk observed a starlike light at 25° altitude that approached, turned phosphorescent green, and was trailed by 10-15 shifting orange-red lights ending in purple. Second Officer Knud Rasmussen watched it for 25 seconds through binoculars.

Observation The object moved toward the vessel, lowered by roughly 10°, and shifted to a glowing green hue. In front, 10 to 15 lights in orange or red tones appeared, concluding with a purple one. Most of these lights altered their relative positions dynamically.
