Zeuge und Sichtung At 7:30 a.m. on September 13, 1966, 11-year-old Randy Rotenberger was near his home near Stirum, North Dakota (also reported as Gwinner), waiting for the school bus. He spotted a silvery domed disc hovering about one mile distant, which then approached and landed roughly 900 feet away, emitting a low-pitched humming sound. The object departed at extraordinary speed, disappearing instantly.
