Manassas VA: Three Black Chevron UAPs in Formation Near Dulles Airport
On the evening of 23 August 2009, registered nurse Tom Fowler and federal employee Troy Harris observed three black triangular-chevron shaped objects maneuvering in a circular formation above their residence in Manassas, Virginia, near Dulles International Airport.
The three craft maintained equidistant spacing while circling for approximately seven minutes. They then abruptly broke formation and accelerated across the sky before disappearing toward the south. The objects produced no sound and left no condensation trails. Both witnesses noted that the g-forces implied by the acceleration would be unsurvivable for human occupants.
The sighting occurred within the restricted airspace corridor surrounding Dulles Airport and Washington D.C., making unauthorized conventional aircraft activity highly improbable. The case was reported to MUFON and investigated under the BAASS/AAWSAP framework.
