Background
In 2012, the Defense Intelligence Agency concluded the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program upon expiration of its appropriated funds. A review conducted in late 2009 had previously determined that the thirty-eight technical reports produced under the initiative offered restricted value to the agency's intelligence mission. The termination ended Bigelow Aerospace's research contract, which had generated studies on topics ranging from warp drives to invisibility cloaking. This information was confirmed through official statements obtained via TheBlackVault.com (FOIA).
