Washington DC: Elizondo, Mellon, Puthoff and Semivan Meet Journalist Leslie Kean
In October 2017, Elizondo, Mellon, Puthoff, and Semivan met journalist Leslie Kean at a hotel near the Pentagon, revealing AATIP's existence for the first time.
Background
After Elizondo's resignation, Chris Mellon arranged a meeting at a hotel near the Pentagon with investigative journalist Leslie Kean. Elizondo, Mellon, Hal Puthoff, and Jim Semivan attended the four-hour meeting β the first time Kean learned of AATIP's existence.
Kean then contacted her colleague Ralph Blumenthal, a contributor and former staff reporter for the New York Times who had been working on a biography of Dr. John Mack, the Harvard psychiatrist known for studying UAP experiencers. This set in motion the historic December 2017 article.
Significance
The meeting that directly catalyzed the most consequential UAP media disclosure in modern history.
