Background
On May 12, 2023, The Black Vault published documents obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request filed on June 30, 2022. The materials originated from the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command and concerned Dr. Travis Taylor, a senior defense scientist. The release included emails referencing the Interagency Task Force and later UAP Task Force activities. Significant portions were withheld under exemptions protecting sensitive internal deliberations and personal privacy.
