Biography
TimelineDr. Roberto Pinotti, Italian sociologist, former Air Force officer, and leading ufologist, founded the Centro Ufologico Nazionale (CUN) in 1967. He has investigated key UFO cases, including the 1933 Magenta crash near Milan, publishing 'Fascist UFO Files' on Mussolini's RS/33 Cabinet led by Guglielmo Marconi. Pinotti authenticated 1930s documents via forensic analysis and spoke on it at the 2024 Sol Foundation Symposium. Author of 'UFO Contacts in Italy' (two volumes, 1900-2020), he contributed to SETI, presented on Indo-Aryan Vimanas at the 1988 IAF Congress, addressed the UK House of Lords in 1980, and collaborated with Luis Elizondo and UN initiatives. His work positions Italy as a ufology hub.
