Beale Air Force Base, established in 1942 in California, USA, is a U.S. Air Force government installation. Primarily focused on reconnaissance operations with aircraft like the U-2 and SR-71, it supported classified test flights in 1969-1970, including D-21B drone missions over China linked to Area 51 programs. These high-altitude flights contributed to UFO sightings reported to Project Blue Book, as experimental aircraft were often misidentified as unidentified flying objects. No dedicated UAP/UFO research programs originated there; involvement was incidental to aviation testing.
