CRIDOVNI
CRIDOVNI (Committee for the Reception and Investigation of UFO Reports) is Uruguay's official government UFO/UAP research organization established in 1979 by presidential decree, making Uruguay the first South American country with such an agency. Operating as part of the Uruguayan Air Force (FAU), CRIDOVNI investigates approximately 30-40 UFO cases annually with a team of professional ufologists and civilian researchers. The organization established a civilian research division called CRIFAT (Regional Center for Investigation of Aerospace and Terrestrial Phenomena) and has signed cooperation agreements with other Latin American air forces, particularly Chile's CEFAA in 2012, to share data and conduct joint investigations. CRIDOVNI remains actively operational after more than four decades of continuous research.
