Ground Vehicle System Center
The U.S. Army DEVCOM Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC), located at Detroit Arsenal in Warren, Michigan, is a government research and development laboratory under the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command. Its roots trace to the Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC), with current operations formalized post-2019 DEVCOM restructuring. GVSC employs over 1,000 researchers and engineers focused on advanced military ground vehicle technologies, including autonomous systems, robotics, power and mobility, electrification, survivability, protection, advanced manufacturing, modeling, simulation, and sustainment. It develops vehicles for U.S. Armed Forces, federal agencies, and 60+ foreign countries, ensuring lifecycle integration of cutting-edge tech. No direct involvement in UAP/UFO research is documented; efforts center on conventional ground systems. Currently active as the DoD's center of excellence for ground vehicle modernization.
