Arleigh A. Burke (1901-1996) was an American naval officer who served as Chief of Naval Operations from 1955 to 1961. A recipient of the Navy Distinguished Service Medal and other honors, he played a pivotal role in modernizing the U.S. Navy during the Cold War era. His name is commemorated in the Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, which have been involved in modern UAP-related incidents, such as drone swarm encounters off California in 2019 reported by USS Russell (DDG-59) and USS Paul Hamilton. Burke himself has no documented direct involvement, publications, or testimony in UAP/UFO research or government programs like Project Blue Book.
