Aziz Khani

Aziz Khani served as an officer and military pilot in the Imperial Iranian Air Force, holding the rank of Captain Mohammad Reza Azizkhani. He piloted an F-4 Phantom jet from Shahrokhi Air Force Base.

He participated in the 1976 Tehran UFO incident, one of the best-documented military UAP encounters in history. During this event, Aziz Khani witnessed and approached an unidentified luminous object over Tehran, an object visible from approximately 70 miles away due to its brilliance. The encounter involved Iranian F-4 Phantom jets.

As a pilot or operations officer, Aziz Khani directly engaged in the incident, launching at 1:30 am on September 19, 1976, to intercept the object. He reported the object's extreme brightness during his approach, and the encounter remains highlighted in historical UAP records.
