Imperial Iranian Air Force

The Imperial Iranian Air Force was the aerial warfare branch of the Imperial Iranian Armed Forces, active until the 1979 Islamic Revolution. The IIAF was involved in several documented UAP encounters, most notably the 1976 Tehran UFO incident, where F-4 Phantom jets attempted to intercept an unidentified luminous object that allegedly disabled their weapons and instrumentation systems.
