Houssain Pirouzi
Houssain Pirouzi was an experienced Iranian air traffic controller and night supervisor at Mehrabad Airport control tower during the Tehran UFO incident of 18/19 September 1976. He received the first civilian sighting reports, was the first airport official to observe the object through binoculars, tracked events throughout the night and around 12:30 a.m. alerted the Air Force Command Post and Brigadier General Nader Yousefi, which led to the scrambling of F-4 Phantoms.

For the UAP timeline, Pirouzi is the civilian pivot of the Tehran night: without his tower reports there would be neither the military scrambling nor the later inclusion of the sighting in the Olin Mooy memo that made the case one of the best-documented state UAP files.
