Hossein Shokri

Hossein Shokri was an Imperial Iranian Air Force officer who served as a pilot in the pre-revolutionary air force and was involved in significant military events following the revolution. He participated in the military response to the 1976 Tehran UFO incident, responding to an unidentified object detected over Tehran in an operation that involved F-4 Phantom interceptors in the pursuit. During the encounter, the interceptors experienced weapons and instrumentation malfunctions. Shokri played an active role in the aerial interception operation, and the documented encounter contributed to UFO incident reports.
