Charles Hickson (1931–2011) was a Mississippi shipyard worker. Born in 1931 and deceased in 2011, he worked at a shipyard in Mississippi and was aged 42 at the time of the incident.

On October 11, 1973, Hickson and Calvin Parker reported being abducted by robotic-looking beings while fishing on the Pascagoula River. The incident occurred during dusk while the men were fishing on the river's west bank, where they encountered three creatures with wrinkled grey skin, claw-like hands, and no visible eyes. The creatures floated them aboard a craft for examination.

Hickson and Parker immediately reported the incident to the Jackson County Sheriff, where a secretly recorded conversation revealed their genuine distress. They reported promptly after being returned to shore, and the audio recording captured raw emotional authenticity and trauma. The case gained attention as part of the 1973 UFO wave.

The Pascagoula abduction became one of the most famous cases due to its dual-witness nature and evidential recording. It remains a landmark abduction case that demonstrated credibility through consistent testimonies, highlighted by the men's unaltered story over decades.
