Roger A. Towberman (born 1967/1968) is a retired United States Air Force and Space Force senior non-commissioned officer. He entered the Air Force in September 1990 as a cryptologic language and intelligence analyst, serving in roles including airborne operations superintendent with the 488th Intelligence Squadron at RAF Mildenhall, UK, and command chief for the 480th ISR Wing. A Career Enlisted Aviator, he logged 4,574 flight hours on RC-135 aircraft, supporting operations like Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. In 2018, he became command chief for Air Force Space Command, later serving as the first senior enlisted leader for reestablished U.S. Space Command. Appointed the inaugural Chief Master Sergeant of the Space Force in April 2020, he advised on enlisted welfare, developed core values, oversaw new components, and advanced talent management until retiring in September 2023.
