David Clarke

David William Clarke (born 1967) is a British investigative journalist, author, and Reader in Journalism at Sheffield Hallam University. Renowned for his work on UFOs/UAPs and British government policy, he led The National Archives UFO project (2008-2013), overseeing the release of 60,000 pages of MoD files, including the Rendlesham Forest incident and the secret 'Condign report' on UAPs in UK airspace. Using FOIA since 1998, he secured key documents like the 1951 Flying Saucer Working Party report briefed to Winston Churchill. Clarke authored 12 books, including 'The UFO Files: The Inside Story of Real-Life Sightings' (2009, 2012), and in 2022 published the only known photo of the Calvine UFO sighting. A folklore expert, he views UFO reports as contemporary legends, frequently consulting for media.
