Doctor X
Dr. X is the pseudonym of a French physician who became a key figure in UFO research after a dramatic close encounter on November 2, 1968, in the south of France. A Saturn-shaped UFO hovered silently above his car, emitting a bright beam that illuminated the scene. As he photographed it, the craft tilted, dematerialized with a bang, leaving a white cloud and luminous thread. Shocked and ill, he contacted ufologist Aimé Michel, who investigated with a physicist. The case, detailed in Jacques Vallée's 'The Invisible College' and other works, featured physical traces like burnt vegetation and elevated radioactivity. Dr. X's anonymous testimony contributed significantly to 1960s-70s European ufology, highlighting UFOs' reality effects. No specific birth/death dates or publications under his name are known; nationality French.
