Doctor Y

Dr. Steven M. Greer (born 1955) is an American ufologist and retired physician. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, he earned a B.S. in biology from Appalachian State University (1982) and an M.D. from East Tennessee State University (1987). Greer founded the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI) in 1990, pioneering 'Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind' (CE-5), human-initiated contact with extraterrestrials, claiming over 3,000 pilot UFO sightings and 4,000 landing traces. In 1993, he launched the Disclosure Project to reveal alleged government UFO secrets, offering amnesty to whistleblowers from military and intelligence. He left medicine to brief officials, including CIA and presidential levels, on unacknowledged special access projects hiding UFO tech. Known as 'Doctor UFO,' Greer has produced documentaries and gathered credible testimonies.
