Gen. Eugene B. LeBailly

Major General Eugene B. LeBailly (also spelled Le Bailly or LeBailly) was a United States Air Force officer who served as Director of Information in the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force. In this role, he played a key part in overseeing UFO investigations during the 1960s. On September 28, 1965, LeBailly requested the USAF Scientific Advisory Board to form an ad hoc committee to review Project Blue Book, the Air Force's official UFO program. This led to a February 1966 meeting where he was listed as a principal figure, alongside briefings on UFO reporting and investigations. The committee examined prior panels like the 1953 Robertson Panel and Foreign Technology Division inputs, aiming to assess Blue Book's efficacy.
