Gordon Creighton (1915-2003) was a British diplomat, translator, and prominent UFO researcher. Serving in the British Foreign Service from 1941 to 1976, including postings in Iran and Turkey, he gained expertise in Middle Eastern languages and Islamic lore. Creighton edited the Flying Saucer Review (FSR) from 1964 until his death, succeeding Leonard Cramp and Desmond Leslie. Key achievements include his 1983 FSR article 'A Brief Account of the True Nature of the UFO Entities,' positing UFO beings as demonic jinns from Islamic tradition and Ahrimanic forces per Rudolf Steiner's anthroposophy—a view he claimed to hold since 1957. Influenced by Steiner, he rejected extraterrestrial hypotheses, linking UFOs to spiritual entities. No direct ties to military/government UFO programs are documented. Notable works appear in FSR archives; he contributed extensively to ufology until passing in 2003.
