Jaime Shandera is a Los Angeles television writer-producer who became a central figure in UFO research during the 1980s. In December 1984, Shandera received an anonymous package containing a roll of 35mm film with photographs of documents purporting to describe 'Operation Majestic-12,' an alleged secret U.S. government program to study recovered extraterrestrial spacecraft and beings. Working with ufologist William L. Moore and researcher Stanton T. Friedman, Shandera helped investigate and publicize these documents, which sparked significant controversy and FBI investigation. He later co-founded the UFO Museum in Roswell, New Mexico in 1991 with Max Littell and Walter Haut, cementing his role as a prominent figure in civilian ufology and Roswell incident research.
