Lt. Causer
Lt. Causer was a U.S. Navy lieutenant serving in Patrol Squadron One (VP-1) during the early 1950s. In January 1950, while conducting the Kodiak Security Patrol approximately 62 miles south of Kodiak, Alaska, alongside Lt. Barco and plane captain Paulson, he sighted an unidentified object on an ascending westerly course. The object remained in view for ten minutes but evaded closure at 170 knots, with no radar contact achieved. This encounter followed Lt. Smith's sighting of two rotating orange lights and is documented in early UFO historical records as part of Project Blue Book-era investigations. No further personal details, such as birth/death years or additional achievements, are known from available sources. He contributed one key eyewitness military testimony to UAP research.
