Lucien Clerebaut
Lucien Clerebaut, a Belgian ufologist, served as the Secretary General of SOBEPS (Société Belge d'Étude des Phénomènes Spatiaux), a prominent UFO research organization founded in 1971. He hosted the group's initial small office in Anderlecht and purchased a building for it in 1976 amid peak membership of 1750. Clerebaut was a key witness during the Belgian UFO Wave of 1989-1990, observing black triangle objects with colleagues Patrick Ferryn and José Fernandez on March 31-April 1, 1990, near Ramillies, providing detailed drawings and descriptions of the craft's features, including curved frontal parts, beams, and a whistling sound. SOBEPS, under his leadership, collaborated with the Belgian Air Force on investigations, including F-16 scrambles, and published Inforespace magazine. The group dissolved in 2007 due to financial issues.
