Philip Spencer

Philip Spencer is a former British police officer best known for the Ilkley Moor incident of 1987. While on the moor early one morning, Spencer reported encountering a small figure on the hillside and managed to photograph it before the figure moved away and a craft rose into the fog. Following the encounter, Spencer experienced missing time and discovered his compass was malfunctioning. His photograph and account have become notable in UFO research circles as a documented visual record of an alleged extraterrestrial encounter.
