Robert Emenegger
Robert Emenegger (born 1932) is an American filmmaker and author known for his contributions to UFO research. A 1965 UCLA film graduate with a music minor, he directed commercials for brands like Honda and Taco Bell, produced 10 science fiction feature films, and 4 TV documentaries, earning awards and gold medals at film festivals. In 1973, Norton Air Force Base officials approached him and producer Allan Sandler to create a UFO documentary using official sources, promising footage of a 1971 UFO landing at Holloman AFB with alien communication, though it was never provided. The 1974 film 'UFOs: Past, Present, and Future,' hosted by Rod Serling, Jose Ferrer, and Burgess Meredith, won a Golden Globe and was re-released as 'It Has Begun.' He authored the companion book surveying post-war UFO cases like Mantell (1947) and Socorro (1964).
