Robert Hastings

Robert Lambert Hastings (born May 6, 1950, in Albuquerque, New Mexico) is an American ufologist, author, and filmmaker specializing in UFO encounters at nuclear weapons sites. He holds a BFA in Photography from Ohio University (1972) and worked as a photographic technician and laboratory analyst before dedicating himself to UFO research. Since 1973, Hastings has interviewed over 160 U.S. Air Force veterans about UFO incursions at missile facilities, including Malmstrom Air Force Base. His seminal book, UFOs & Nukes: Extraordinary Encounters at Nuclear Weapons Sites (2008, revised 2017), compiles these accounts, alleging UFOs tampered with nuclear missiles. In 2010, he organized a National Press Club press conference where officers testified to missile shutdowns near hovering UFOs. Hastings directed the 2016 documentary UFOs and Nukes: The Secret Link Revealed and has lectured at over 500 U.S. colleges and Oxford University. He claims a government cover-up of extraterrestrial interest in nuclear arms.
