Ronald S. 'Ron' Moultrie is an American intelligence official who served as Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security from June 2021. A University of Maryland alumnus with a Master's from National Intelligence University and Russian language training, he began as a Russian linguist in the US Air Force, advised the Secretary of the Navy, and held key roles at the CIA and NSA, including director of the National Security Operations Center. In UAP/UFO research, Moultrie testified before Congress on May 17, 2022, on unidentified aerial phenomena, stressing their national security implications and the need for transparency without compromising classified data. He endorsed the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) in a July 2022 memo, highlighting its role in tracking anomalous objects for military safety amid adversary tech advances. His oversight advanced destigmatizing UAP reports, aiding over 400 Pentagon investigations.
