Timothy S. Cooper

Timothy S. Cooper, born November 28, 1948, in El Paso, Texas, is an American UFO researcher and retired private investigator based in Big Bear Lake, California. A Vietnam War veteran with Secret and Top Secret clearances in communications, he later worked as an optical technician at Cavitron Corporation and Senior Technical Writer at Baxter International. Trained as a detective in 1989, he served 12 years in investigations and security, and is a member of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO). In 1992, Cooper began receiving classified UFO documents via his PO Box from an anonymous source 'Cantwheel,' including the Marilyn Monroe document, which he shared with researchers like Stanton Friedman and Bob Wood for authentication. He provided these 'Majestic Documents' to investigators, sparking publicity in UFO Magazine and Fox's Encounters program. Cooper maintains a professional research and writing practice focused on UFO leaks and government programs.
