Major Vernon L. Sadowski was a U.S. Air Force intelligence officer involved in early UFO investigations during the 1950s. In January 1953, shortly before the CIA's Robertson Panel convened, he arranged a briefing by Project Blue Book chief Edward J. Ruppelt at Ent Air Force Base, headquarters of the 4602d Air Intelligence Service Squadron (AISS), near Colorado Springs. This squadron later assumed field investigation duties for UFO reports from Project Blue Book, following Robertson Panel recommendations to enhance investigations. Sadowski's coordination highlights his role in linking ATIC/Project Blue Book with 4602d operations amid evolving U.S. government UFO programs.
