George King (1919-1997) was a British esotericist and spiritual leader who founded the Aetherius Society in 1955 in London after claiming telepathic contact with extraterrestrial 'Cosmic Masters' from Venus, Mars, and beyond. Born on January 23, 1919, in Wellington, Shropshire, England, he reported his first otherworldly instruction on May 8, 1954, when a voice declared him 'the voice of Interplanetary Parliament.' A swami later taught him yoga and meditation, enabling him to channel over 600 transmissions of wisdom, prophecy, and scientific insights. King, titled 'Dr.' by followers, devised global healing missions like Operation Starlight (charging 19 mountains with spiritual energy), Operation Prayer Power, and Operation Sunbeam to aid humanity's transition to a New Age and prevent self-destruction. He authored books including 'Contact Your Higher Self Through Yoga' and was interviewed on BBC in 1959. The Society expanded to Los Angeles in 1960. Special Branch monitored him as a UFO cult leader. He died July 12, 1997, in Santa Barbara, California.
