Researcher
πThis entry contains basic data only and will be expanded in a future update.
John Callahan is a former FAA Division Chief of the Accidents and Investigations Branch who became a prominent UFO researcher after investigating Japan Airlines Flight 1628, a 1986 incident in which a cargo aircraft reported sighting multiple unidentified objects over Alaska. Callahan whistleblew in 2001, revealing previously classified radar data, voice recordings, and documentation that he had preserved despite government confiscation orders. His detailed testimony and evidence presentation at the National Press Club in 2007 have been cited by prominent UAP researchers as significant documentation of an unexplained aerial phenomenon.
